Johnna is an ordained minister with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She served
as a Children’s Minister and as a Pastoral Leader for several congregations. As part of her
ministry she offered leadership in the community, pastoral counseling to individuals, couples,
and to those incarcerated. Prior to her ministry, Johnna practiced social work in West Virginia, where she is still licensed. She worked with at-risk youth and was the director of an agency for eight counties offering crisis intervention and grassroots organizing for the empowerment of those struggling to find stability and security for themselves and their families.
It is a passion for Johnna to serve anyone placed in her path. Her family
refers to her calling as her “Armchair Ministry.“ Johnna makes a home with her husband of, currently, 31 years. With her husband as CFO/Treasurer and their 23-year-old son as Co-Media and Technical Support Specialist, Johnna serves as the CEO/Executive Director of The Well-Watered Soul as well as continuing her work as a mental health advocate.
Nick has a BBA from Ohio University and has spent many years in the healthcare
industry on the business side. During that time, he and his wife, Johnna, owned a
healthcare IT consulting agency. Since then he has been in the food service industry
and currently manages a restaurant.
Nick has spent most of his adult life participating in community service, from
organizations like the Junior Chamber of Commerce to outreach through church. He
has always been willing to lend a hand to a worthy cause and was excited to help with
the Well Watered Soul. He leads the business and financial area of the organization as
the CFO.
Dominic has grown up observing his parents, Nick and Johnna, in all of their escapades. From sitting in on his mother's seminary classes at 3 years old, to accompanying his parents on his father's work trips throughout his consulting career. As he grew older, he began to join in and help with his parents’ outreach in any way he could. From exploring outreach opportunities within the church, joining in on community service work, and especially helping out any kid he saw in need throughout his days in school. Dominic has always made any attempt he could to shine some light in other people's darkest times. When he became old enough to join the work force, Dominic found himself training in multiple five-star fine dining restaurants before becoming a sous chef himself. Using his opportunity to inspire people to better themselves through the art of food. Now Dominic spends his days working with his father at his restaurant as a server and manager. He plans on going to school to learn more about the world of mental health to dive in head first into this new opportunity that he has been given.
Several years back I realized God was calling me to take a different path. I walked away from a 30-year career and began a new journey in the career of coaching. As I began this new journey, I realized I had been coaching people my whole life, through teaching as well as through simple conversation. I found I was always that person people would talk to and often say “I don’t know why I am telling you this”. As I began to enter this new career path, I was saddened by the fact that coaching was only truly available to the wealthy, because of the cost. I believe wholeheartedly that everyone can benefit from working with a coach. Therefore, it needs to be accessible for
everyone at an affordable rate. The Well-Watered Soul is a non-profit birthed by that belief. Today we are witnessing the effects every day of people being denied the help they need because of high costs and unavailable time slots. Although we are a fledgling in the world of non-profits, we are committed to making a presence in the world of mental health. Our counselors and coaches are based throughout the country. Start today and make a difference.
My passion for The Well-Watered Soul moves me beyond words on a page and leads me to a spiritual and emotional explanation. As an ordained minister over the past 20 plus years, I have met countless people who have fallen through the cracks of our society, looking, and searching for help often caused by the same society who have left them for invisible. Since the pandemic, the situation has become more critical, and everyone is talking about it. The well watered soul is committed to join others who want to fill this void in our society. This non- profit meets the criteria for the mental health triage needed in our world today by offering services that are affordable and accessible within 24 hours. My prayer is that you become a part of our Mission and help us offer mental health stability, one person at a time.
